Jane and Paul Rux live in Mt. Horeb, WI.  It is rich in Norwegian heritage and offers a unique "Trollway" and "Little Norway" living history site.    Jane learned Rosemaling from Norwegian-American experts in Mt. Horeb and nearby Stoughton, WI.  Stoughton is rich in Norwegian heritage, e.g. annual "Syttende mai" (May 17  Norwegian Constitution Day) run.  Jane also has studied Rosemaling at the famed "Vesterheim" Norwegian folk art teaching center in Decorah, Iowa.  To further refine her skills, Jane has traveled to Norway to study with Rosemaling experts there. Rosemaling "captured" Jane over fourteen years ago.  Jane wants to teach other Rosemalers now. Jane and Paul are proud grandparents of Wyatt.  The "Young Wyatt," or "Little Manion," as "Grandma Jane" loves to call him, is their first grandchild.  "Grandma Jane" is busy creating a special room for Wyatt at the "Rux Ranch."  It is filled with toys for his visits and overnights. To the right is a photo of one of Jane's Rosemaled Norwegian "step-back" cupboards.  It is in the classic "Rogland" style. Rogland is one of five distinct geographic regions in Norway.  Each region has its own signature style of Rosemaling.
